SMB1001 is a tiered cybersecurity certification standard for SMBs with five maturity levels, while Essential Eight is a set of eight mitigation strategies published by the Australian Cyber Security Centre. SMB1001 incorporates Essential Eight alignment within its broader framework and results in a certifiable outcome.

The appropriate tier depends on your industry, client requirements, risk profile and supply chain obligations. Your Dedicated Specialist assesses your current posture during the gap assessment and recommends the target tier. We do not promise a specific tier before the assessment is complete.
